Academic Esports, Bachelor’s Programme

Much more than gaming! The focus of this study programme is to develop, hone and promote transferable skills and competencies developed through gaming into recognisable skills for use in other contexts such as business and public service. Esports is one of the fastest growing industries in the world. More and more private businesses, governments, and the public sector, both nationally and internationally, see the opportunities to utilise the potential that lies in skills developed through esports. The bachelor's programme in academic esports will provide knowledge that makes you competitive in the future labour market! What do you learn? The bachelor’s programme introduces the world of academic esports and develops skills for a much broader field. This means that in addition to the activity of exercise, you learn about training, recovery and performance. You will also learn about the role of esports in society, technology related to esports, and how to use esports in education and in professional life. The sixth semester is dedicated to writing a bachelor thesis. The students will then focus on one of the following four specialisations in the field: Esports athlete , coach or managing The industry and eco-system related to esports Technology and innovation Education and healthcare
