Master in Biotechnology – create tomorrow’s solutions with biology and technology Do you want to develop next-generation vaccines, biofuels, or sustainable products? With a Master’s in Biotechnology at NTNU, you’ll gain advanced knowledge of how biological processes can solve global challenges in health, environment, and industry. You’ll study molecules, cells, and organisms, and learn how to use this knowledge to develop vaccines, enzymes, biopolymers, biofuels, and more. The programme combines hands-on lab skills, advanced theory, and opportunities for independent research projects. What you’ll learn: Cell and molecular biology, biochemistry, and microbiology Biological processes in bacteria, plants, and animals Development and production of biomolecules Hypothesis testing, data collection, and analysis Sustainable solutions and biotechnological innovation A Master’s in Biotechnology qualifies you for careers in research, industry, environmental technology, food production, and health—both in Norway and internationally. It’s also a strong foundation for further studies, such as a PhD.
