Cybersecurity and Assurance - Master's Programme is a master's degree programme lasting 2 years | 120 ECT, taught in English at Norwegian University of Science and Technology, East Norway in Gjøvik and Trondheim.
On the Master’s in Cybersecurity and Assurance, you learn to protect systems and data — and to manage security in real-world settings. You’ll understand how threats arise, how to stop them, and how organisations build robust solutions over time. The programme combines technology with assurance, compliance and quality assurance. You learn to connect regulations and technology so that controls actually work. Teaching is hands-on and up to date; you’ll train to detect, handle and prevent attacks in a safe environment. In the Cybersecurity and Assurance programme, you’ll develop deep skills to analyze security challenges, design and evaluate secure cryptosystems, identify and prioritize vulnerabilities, and implement effective detection and mitigation mechanisms. A CYBERSURE master’s degree prepares you for the full security field — from technical roles such as Security Architect, Ethical Hacker, Malware Analyst and implementing security controls, to leadership and compliance-focused roles such as Chief Information Security Officer (CISO), Data Protection Officer (DPO), Compliance Officer and Security Auditor. Run in collaboration with six European universities, it offers an international network and fresh perspectives. After a master’s degree, you can pursue a PhD programme.
